EnglishDolce&gabbana launches a real estate project in Marbella
«We waited for decades for the operation that was right» ceo Alfonso Dolce told MFF. The partner, Sierra Blanca Estates, will complete the 92-unit complex by 2026. «Following Span, we have Miami and the Maldives, and there are 6-7 additional deals in the pipeline»
«Our initial foray into real estate began in Europe, a region to which I am deeply connected and have enjoyed visiting for both business and personal reasons for the past two years», Alfonso Dolce stated exclusively to MFF describing the start of the fashion house’s inaugural real estate endeavor. Dolce’s face brightens as he fondly recalls that his second of four children, Saverio, was conceived during a stay in Europe. The real estate division of the Maison is experiencing rapid growth since its launching two years ago in Venice (see MFF of August 28, 2021). «Our Dolce&Gabbana Casa, headquartered on Via Broggi in Milan, already has approximately 60 employees, and additional projects are underway. In addition to three initially announced, there are 6-7 others in advanced stages, including two located in major cities».
As of Marbella, situated in the exclusive Golden Mile of the Spanish city, Design hills Dolce&Gabbana Marbella will renovate a plot of nearly 90,000 square meters by creating a complex with exceptional architectural design, comprising of 92 residences of various formats. Furthermore, the complex will feature public spaces for fashion, leisure, and gastronomic boulevards. The residences are scheduled to be delivered in 2026 with the first show-flats ready in 2025. Domenico Dolce arrived with him on a private jet from Milan the previous day and came to finalize the creative vision. «I have witnessed an exceptional level of passion and dedication to this project in Domenico» Pedro Rodriguez, the founder of Sierra blanca estates, a key real estate player in Marbella with years of experience in New York, said. «Investing in the Mediterranean offers a multitude of benefits for buyers, including US clients, such as climate stability and lower operating costs. This is a landmark project» he added. The initial design were presented on site, with a dinner for 300 guests and a party for 600.
«Despite receiving many proposals, we delayed the launch of the real estate project for several decades. Our aim is to be closely connected to the local community and manage each project directly» Alfonso Dolce stated. The Design hills Dolce&gabbana Marbella development will consist of five striking, contemporary buildings set amidst stunning gardens and featuring outdoor infinity pools. All residences in the project will range in size from 280 to 900 square meters with up to five bedrooms, fully furnished with exclusive Dolce&Gabbana designs. Key features of these luxury residences will include master bedrooms with dressing rooms and private bathrooms overlooking the ocean, massage and makeup rooms, spacious living and dining rooms that open to private outdoor spaces overlooking the ocean, rooftop terraces with swimming pools and sundecks, staff quarters, entertainment rooms, exclusive home automation to connect the home 24/7 with the complex’s concierge and hospitality stuff. In addition, most of the residences will have fully private or semi-private elevator access. The joint project of Dolce&gabbana and Sierra blanca estates will also have its own pool club which, once open, is expected to be a major attraction for visitors to Marbella every season. The facility will feature a large infinity pool overlooking the sea, a heated indoor pool, a sunbathing area with private sunbeds and loungers, and even an Italian-style food truck ice cream shop.
To complete the offering for all visitors, Design hills will have its own commercial boulevard that will bring together the best international luxury retail brands, as well as numerous signature restaurants, cafes and other gastronomic venues. The façade of the Design Hill complex will be clad with white glazed ceramics, traditionally taken from the Hispano-Muslim Mozarabic architecture that predominated in Andalusia between the 12th and 16th centuries, to decorate the parapets and the glass facades, which have been reinterpreted in the design to provide both thermal comfort and privacy. «Here in Andalusia I recognize many similarities to our beloved Sicily in terms of gastronomy and the approach to family and joyful moments» Alfonso Dolce stated, concluding that «Family and family. Passion and passion. Partnering with likeminded entities like Sierra Blanca is crucial to something exceptional being created». (All rights reserved)
